Season’s Greetings

Season’s Greetings!!! Engines are winterized, boats are covered and in storage, the docks are pulled in and the lake has iced over.  We finished shrink wrapping the last boat only hours before the first snow in November! I think we set a record breaking pace that last week.  Now it’s on to cross country skiing and prepping for next season.

Thank you everyone for another great season, it wouldn’t be possible without your continued loyalty. A big shout out to all of our amazing customers who took the time to review us! We appreciate it beyond words. New in the works this coming year are video reviews. We’ll be reaching out to folks to do a video review for us. If you are willing and interested please message or email us. We appreciate all of you!! Thank you!!

End of Summer Update

Winter boat storage

Winter boat storage on the Great Sacandaga Lake

The boating season is coming to an end with the lake dropping somewhere around a foot a week.  You can keep track of the lake level at https://waterdata.usgs.gov/ny/nwis/uv?01323500

Our dock season will end on September 8th, unless the level drops faster or we get a significant amount of rain to raise it.  Please make your plans accordingly.

  • If you are bringing your boat in by water, please make sure you have fenders and dock line.  Our docks will be pulled in before the end of September.
  • If you want us to haul your boat, make sure we have the keys and the trailer (registered & road worthy) and update us on your plans.
  • If you stored with us last year and would like to do so again, please let us know NOW.
  • If you stored with us last year and have made other arrangements, PLEASE let us know NOW.  Others could use your spot.
  • If you have any questions, please ask. (518) 863-8112

Our September and October hours are here.  They may change slightly, depending on school events, but we’ll keep you posted.  We are outside most of the day hauling and winterizing boats, so please leave voice mail or shoot us an email.

Thank you for a great season!

The Heat, the 4th of July and Service

Mercury Verado repairThe spark is a little weak and compression is a little low at the marina.  The oppressive heat and humidity has brought the service department to a slow crawl.  We recognize everyone’s need to be on the water this week and we’ll do our best to make it happen, but there is only so much we can accomplish in this weather.  The gas dock will be open, but depending on how much we’ve melted, we may close both the gas dock & store before 5pm this week.

Due to an out-of-state family funeral, we will be operating on one cylinder Sunday July 8 thru Tuesday July 10.  Please be patient.

2018 Boating Season

Happy 4th of July!!

Good Morning Sacandaga!!  We are open today Tuesday July 4th.  The gas dock is open, with 91 octane ethanol-free gas.  We’re going to try to get some service work done today, so you might have to dig us out of a boat for parts or gas.  Please leave a voice message because again, we’ll be attempting to get some service work done.

Be safe out there today, the recent rain run-off has dumped a lot of debris into the lake.
