30 April 2020 Update
We hope everyone is safe, healthy and ready to boat! There have been a lot of changes to our lives over the last few months, and changes to the way folks boat is going to be another.
We have been working towards making our end of the boating season as safe as possible. There are and will be on-going changes to the way we operate at the marina.
All of our buildings are closed to the public. To make shopping easier we’ve added both a Boat Accessory catalog and Mercury Parts Catalog to our website. Obviously, we don’t stock everything, but most of the Boating Accessories we can get next day. The Mercury parts, depends on what warehouse the parts are shipped from. All store sales are final, there will be no returns or exchanges; at least until there is a better handle on COVID-19. We’ll be doing on-line payments whenever possible, otherwise we can swipe cards with our mobile reader. Cash is not currently accepted. The idea is to limit contact wherever possible. Call or e-mail to arrange curbside pickup and payment.
We still expect to hit the target date of opening the docks on May 15th. ‘Social Distancing’ will be the words of the season. There’ll be signage to help everyone remember. Until further notice, all parking will be in the lower lot. There are too many touch points between parking in our upper lot and traversing to the docks. We’ll adjust this policy if needed as the season moves on. Other changes to the season: No restrooms/port-a-potties, no courtesy dock carts, and no garbage cans. Again, there are too many touch points for us to keep clean and sanitized. We’ll e-mail (call for those without email) slip assignments to everyone next week. Yes, the gas dock will be open once we’ve worked out how to do it safely.
There are still a couple of boat slips open. Call now, they’re going fast.
We’ll most likely open to service within the next week or so. We’re waiting on a shipment of cleaning/disinfectants. Please call or e-mail ahead before bringing your boat in. We’ll post more on this later.
Discover Boating has good information on what to consider when boating during COVID-19. We urge everyone to to read this.
Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!! Warmer weather is just around the corner.
