Marina Docks Open Sunday

Great Sacandaga Marina

The marina docks open Sunday, May 10th. Slip assignments have gone out to everyone we have email addresses for.

The words for this season are ‘Social Distancing’.  We’ve posted signs to remind everyone of the importance of social distancing when boating.  Please, Boat Responsibly!  We encourage everyone to wear a mask when on the dock if there are other boaters around you.  Be considerate of other people’s social distance.  Discover Boating has good information on what to consider when boating during COVID-19.  We urge everyone to read this.

Gas Dock.  We’ll have the gas dock open by Memorial Day weekend, probably sooner.

Car Parking.  Until further notice, all parking will be in the lower lot.  There’s lots of room if everyone parks correctly.  The upper lot is still full of boats and there are too many touch points between the upper lot and traversing to the docks.  We’ll adjust this if needed as the season moves on.  It’s not carved in stone, so don’t panic about parking.

Other changes to the season: No restrooms/port-a-potties, no courtesy dock carts, and no garbage cans. Again, based on guidance from NYS and the CDC, there are too many touch points for us to keep clean and sanitized.  The goal is to ‘stop the spread’.  These are still early days of un-Pausing NYS, so we all need to do our part to keep all the marinas open.

Trailer Parking.  There should be space in the storage lot on the lane.  The storage lot is across Co Hwy 152, where the silver gate is.  The upper part of the lot is still full of boats, but if you do drop your trailer up there, please park it so it doesn’t block the stored boats.

All our buildings are closed to the public. To make shopping easier we’ve added both a Boat Accessory catalog and Mercury Parts Catalog to our website. Obviously, we don’t stock everything, but most of the Boating Accessories we can get next day. Mercury parts depends on what warehouse they are shipped from. All store sales are final, there will be no returns or exchanges; at least until there is a better handle on COVID-19. We’ll be doing on-line payments whenever possible, otherwise we can swipe cards with our mobile reader. Cash is not currently accepted. The idea is to limit contact wherever possible. Please call or e-mail to arrange curbside pickup and payment.

Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!!  Warmer weather is just around the corner.
